As for friending, let's see. If you think we've got some stuff in common and would get on nicely, then let me know here with a reply. It'd be nice to know how you found my journal and all that jazz. One more or less important thing - if you're doing regular friends cuts because I don't comment on your every entry, you should refrain from friending me. What's to say about me? I'm Katie, from Germany, female, studied translator. I love anything English, so you probably won't find anything German in here. I'm not an avid commenter but I do read my friends' entries.

I just decided to do this because, well, I want to make more things creatively but I'm always so lazy and all. So, I thought this might help me in a way.

So, I've been thinking. Does happen occasionally...

I've been posting my icons, walls, moodthemes and fics here since I've started creating the stuff. Lately, I guess, I've been making a bit more and that got me thinking. A lot of people separate the stuff, having a personal and an art journal. I've been wondering if that might be a good idea for me as well. But I'm also worrying a little since I don't want to take the step and then end up with hardly anyone seeing it at all whereas here I've got at least my flist seeing it. I'm just not sure about the whole thing.

So, because I feel like trying new thing out a bit today, I created my first ever poll. I'd love for you to tell me your opinion to be a little less lost.

Last week has been sucky as hell. Truly. Then, when it was finally weekend, I thought it would all be better now. No such luck, the postman brought the highlights in. Let's not mention Sunday at all.


So, to distract myself from all the shit, I thought I would offer making icons. Interest icons it is...

If you don't know what it actually is, let me explain. In your profile you've got an interest part with things you like/love. I'll go there, choose some subjects and turn them into icons.

I won't specify a certain number of comments only (yet) as I don't think it'll be that high anyway. So, leave me a reply. If you want to be surprised, don't mention anything else, if you'd like me to icon something of your own choice let me know.

The finished icons will be posted in a separate entry. All icons will be shareable. if you don't want that, please tell me so in your initial comment.

Well, that happens when you get 10+ cool images for a challenge every week. You can't decide and icon almost all of them. Hm yeah, those are mostly Angel, Cordy, Cordy/Angel with a few others and some variations.

I've always thought quotes on a mood theme was a cool idea. So, since I love the books, I thought What the hell! and gave it a try. It did take longer than I'd estimated. Not finding of quotes or actually making the tiny thing, no it was finding the fitting ones for the specific mood. I'm still not sure, if they all really suit. So, if you check this out and have any suggestions, do let me know. All quotes are from the first book. Size is 90x50.

LIGHTS ON: Send Light Bulbs To NBC To Save Friday Night Lights

The Official Motto of the Dillon Panthers Booster Club is Keep The Lights On, and what better way to get that point across to NBC than by taking a moment to send them a light bulb as a reminder that it’s a “good idea” to keep great shows on their network. NBC-Universal is owned by General Electric anyway, so these light bulbs will also be like little bribes, putting our whole campaign in a more financial context these studio types will be able to better understand. Light bulbs are cheap, easy to come by, and if they break during shipping, the shattered glass might even seem vaguely threatening when NBC opens the package. Sort of like, “You try to take away our Panthers, and we might just cut you.” So grab a bulb, write “Lights On” on the side of it, and send it to NBC honcho Ben Silverman at:

Well, I'm not sure what kind of workload or pressure I'm putting on myself with this but whatever. I'm just going to go ahead with this because I feel like it today.

Interest Icons
Lately I'm really loving making icons despite the ups and downs I have. Out of this reason I'm offering to make you, when you comment, two or three icons. I'll go to your profile and choose topics from your profile. However, if you have a specific theme you'd like to see, then let me know, but please no ships I don't like or something I can't find images of.

I'm not limiting the number because I don't think that many people will reply. I'm going to leave this open for, let's say a week but no more than two. Also, give me some time to get them done. Right now my schedule is empty but who knows.
